Sovereignty Psychotherapy
Why Therapy?
Family Dynamics
Each member of the family is in important part of the resolution. I specialize in helping families improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and build stronger connections.
Relationship Issues
I work with individuals, couples, and families to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
Life Transitions
Navigating difficult life transitions such as divorce, career changes, young adulthood, menopause, and grief and loss is scary. It helps to have someone in your corner when things crumble.
Mental Health Concerns
Anxiety and depression are often markers that something in life isn’t working. Its likely that you’ve developed “strategies” to help in the short term but who cause problems down the line like substance use, dissociation and working too much.
Personal Growth
Therapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth and self-discovery. I am committed to supporting clients in increasing capacity and cultivating a life which feels aligned.
Parenting Support
Most parents want their kids to grow up safely to be adults that reflect their values. Today parents are facing a slew of challenges never before seen. I love helping parents show up for their children in a way that is effective and of that they can be proud.
Starting therapy can be intimidating.
I’m glad you’re here
A little bit about my approach…
Unfortunately, much of the harm we initially experience is through relationships. We can all reflect on those moments in our past when we got too much or not enough of something.
I do not believe that we are born with self-hatred or shame. It is something we have to be taught; we learn to distrust ourselves.
When our vulnerability is witnessed from a place of genuine care and non-judgement we get to have corrective experiences. Therapy can be a vehicle to practice new ways of relating to both yourself and to others. These novel exchanges open up possibles. They help metabolize the residue that trauma leaves behind, and create space for flexibility and healing.
This job is a privilege and I’m excited to join in the brave work you’re doing to come home and fully inhabit your life.
I welcome people of diverse backgrounds and identities. I work within a social justice lens and provide inclusive and supportive therapy for all races, genders, sexual orientations, body sizes, religions, abilities and political views.

“The Journey”
-Mary Oliver
“One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice—
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fall
“But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do—
determined to save
the only life you could save
